Memories on the road
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a special connection with Volkswagen AG (BATS EU: VOW3) cars. My grandfather had a yellow Beetle that he used to take me for Sunday afternoon drives in the countryside. I loved to sit in the passenger seat and listen to the sound of the engine as we drove along the dirt roads.
But my sentimental history with Volkswagen intensified when I turned 18, and my father gave me my first car, a Volkswagen Jetta. Although I had owned a few cars before, this Jetta became a member of my family. I spent hours and hours cleaning it and taking care of it as if it were a treasure. Over time, the Jetta became the vehicle in which I took my first long trips and in which I experienced my first love. Although I eventually had to say goodbye to it, I will always hold a special place in my heart for that car and for Volkswagen AG (BATS EU: VOW3).
Today, I still have a strong connection to the brand and am always drawn to its classic and modern models. Volkswagen AG (BATS EU: VOW3) will always be an important part of my history and my fondest memories. Volkswagen is a German automotive company founded in 1937 by the Nazi government with the aim of producing an affordable automobile for the German people. The first Volkswagen factory was built in Wolfsburg, Germany. The first model produced was the Volkswagen Beetle, also known as “The Beetle,” which became a worldwide icon of the automotive industry. As the company grew, it began producing other car models, such as the Volkswagen Golf and the Volkswagen Passat.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Volkswagen became one of the world’s leading automotive companies, expanding globally and acquiring other brands such as Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Seat, Skoda and Porsche. In 2015, Volkswagen AG (BATS EU: VOW3) faced an emissions scandal when it was discovered that some of its diesel vehicles were equipped with software that falsified emissions test results. This caused a major impact on the company’s reputation and sales. Despite this, Volkswagen has worked to improve its electric vehicle technology and has announced its goal of becoming a leading electric vehicle company in the future.
Volkswagen is investing in cloud-based mobility technologies to improve connectivity between vehicles and transportation services. These technologies include services such as car sharing and automated transportation. Looking ahead, Volkswagen AG (BATS EU: VOW3) has several concrete projects in the pipeline. One of these is the continuation of its “TOGETHER – Strategy 2025” plan, which aims to make the company a leader in sustainable mobility and digitalization. As part of this plan, Volkswagen is developing electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as autonomous driving technologies.
In my opinion, Volkswagen has proven to be an innovative and successful company throughout its history, but it has also faced significant challenges. It is important that the company continues to work to improve its technology and reputation as it faces new challenges in the future.
